Waynesville High School Principal

Welcome to Waynesville High School, home of the Tigers! Thank you for taking the time to be an active part of your student's educational journey. My name is Jason Whitt and I am the proud principal of Waynesville High School.

My wife, Sheri, and I have been married since August of 2000. Sheri and I are the proud parents of our daughter Eastyn and we have three dogs. We are avid sports fans, enjoy the outdoors and travel. We love watching our WHS Tigers, college football, college basketball and the Kansas City Chiefs. I look forward to getting to know the families within our community and helping partner with you on this education journey. There are many ways that you can invest in your children's lives, but the most important thing you can give your child is your time.

Together we can prepare them for a future that is dreamt of and unknown.

A+ Program

The A+ Program provides scholarship funds to eligible graduates of A+ designated high school. For more information click the link above.

ACT Resources

Counselors assist in coordinating and administrating of group testing as well as interpreting scores and making educational recommendations to the students, parents, and teachers.

ASAP

The A.S.A.P. program is designed to provide additional academic assistance to those students unable to get adequate assistance throughout the school week.

Band and Color Guard

Waynesville High School offers a variety of band and ensemble courses throughout the school year.

Clubs and Activities

Multiple clubs and organizations are available for students in grades 9 -12 at Waynesville High School. Availability depends upon student interest and faculty availability.

SGA

SGA is a student derived program focused on service, character building, spirit, and representing the voice of the student body.

Tiger TV/Channel 12

Students in Video Production learn how to become content creators. We broadcast around 50 live events each year on Channel 12 and students produce a school newscast, TigerTV.

JROTC

Providing a quality citizenship, character, and leadership development program, while fostering partnerships with communities and educational institutions.

Waynesville Career Center

Waynesville R-VI career and technical educational courses available to students interested in entering the skills trade workforce.
