SIAP Volunteer Opportunities
Members of the community are encouraged to participate in SIAP activities. Below is a list of ways volunteers can donate their time. If you are interested in volunteering for SIAP, please Email Snack Pack or call (573) 842-2250 for more information on how to become a volunteer.
Packing
Packers meet every Tuesday at the Snack in a Pack room located at the Community Resource Office at the West Entrance of Williams Early Childhood Center. The Packers fill the bags with food that is delivered to each student; students are welcome to help pack as well!
Every Tuesdays: Time to be Determined (Any Volunteer)
Packing will be rescheduled if school is cancelled due to inclement weather.
Tote Distribution
Tote Distributors pick up the packed totes from the SIAP room located in the Pick Educational and Volunteer Facility each Thursday or Friday morning and deliver the tote directly to their designated school. Extended weekend and holiday totes are at times larger and heavier, and may require a different delivery day. Tote Distributions requires a reliable vehicle.
Tote Retrievers
Tote Retrievers are responsible for collecting empty totes from their designated schools and returning the totes to the SIAP room in the Pick Educational and Volunteer Facility. Tote Retrievers may return totes on Monday or Tuesday between 8:00am and 3:00pm.
Inventory Assistants
Inventory Assistants work with the SIAP Coordinator, helping to unload all purchases from vehicles and placing all food items on shelves.
Fundraiser Volunteers
Fundraiser volunteers support various SIAP fundraising events in numerous ways, including holding their own fundraisers and food drives. Volunteers can organize food and fund drives, while others volunteer their time to specific fundraising events.
