Dear Families of the Waynesville Sixth Grade Center,
I am excited to be the principal at WSGC and to work with sixth-grade students as they begin their journey into secondary education from elementary. We will continue to strive to be a high performing, standards-focused school ensuring that young adolescents are prepared and ready to make a successful transition to middle school, academically and personally.
I have been with Waynesville School District since 2018. I have spent the previous six years as an Assistant Principal at Waynesville High School.
I entered education through the Troops to Teachers Program after serving 20 years in the United States Air Force. I am a former history, health, weights and conditioning, and physical education teacher for 12 years at Smith-Cotton High School and Osage High School. I coached basketball and football for over 23 years in Missouri and California.
I have been married to my wife, Sonya, for 32 years. We have two sons, Evan and Donovan. Evan graduated from Smith Cotton High School in 2010, and is working as a welder, currently in Kansas. Donovan graduated from Smith Cotton in 2012, and is currently working at Lake of the Ozarks as an excavator. I also have one granddaughter, Civiyah, and one grandson, Zaevan. When I am not at school, I enjoy playing sports or attending sporting events, spending time with my family, and being out on the water of Lake of the Ozarks.
Again, I am very excited to be serving the community at the Sixth Grade Center. Please feel free to contact me anytime.
