The nurses' office here at WMS sees between 800-900 students per month.  Services provided include triage, first aid, medication administration, management of sports physicals, and maintenance of immunization records. We also do a health screening for all 7th graders in the fall, which includes hearing & vision screenings.  If any problems are found at these screenings, we refer the students for further evaluation.

Some important reminders for the 22/23 school year:
- All 8th grade students MUST have Tdap and Meningococcal immunizations on file in the nurse's office or they will not be allowed to attend class the first day of school.  This is in accordance with Missouri State Law.

- Any child wanting to try out for fall sports must have a completed sports physical on file in the nurses' office before practice starts. Listed below are links to important forms that you can download, print, fill out, and return to the nurse's office.  NOTE- NEW PHYSICAL FORMS ARE ATTACHED BELOW

- If your student is required to take prescribed medication at school, you will need to fill out a "permission for prescribed medication form".  The medication can then be brought into the nurse's office by a parent. Please do not send any medications to school with your child. You can find this form on this website.
- Please also remember to keep your child home for 24 hours AFTER vomiting.  If your student has a fever of over 100 degrees, he/she may return to school 24 hours of being fever free without medication.

- If at any time you would like to call and personally discuss your students' health with me, I would love to hear from you. I'd like to work with you to make this a great school year for your student here at WMS.
