Computer Information Technology - C# Computer Programming
(Open to Grades 10, 11, & 12) 

Are you interested in building apps and games?  In CIT, you’ll do just that while you learn a skill that is in high-demand and well-paid.  In CIT, you’ll learn to code in Microsoft’s Visual C# programming language as you build desktop apps and simple desktop games. This class does not require any coding experience.  Upon completion, students will have an opportunity to earn the Oracle Database Foundations (1Z0-006) certification which demonstrates that you are knowledgeable of database components, concepts and design, and implementation.  Visual C# is the scripting language for the popular Unity 3D Game engine, so if you are interested in game development, start here.

Earn six hours of college credits!  You’ll have dual-credit opportunity:

You have the opportunity to earn up to 6 hours of college credit while enrolled in CIT.

  • OTC CIS-120 Introduction to Programming:  3 credit hours

  • OTC CIS-150 C# Programming: 3 credit hours.

Students will learn how to apply the following six domains:

  • Core programming in Visual C#

  • Object-oriented programming

  • Desktop applications

  • Database Design and Data Modeling

  • SQL Programming Language

  • Database Solutions
