Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Certified through the Department of Health and Senior Services, the CNA program provides 76 clock hours of training and 100 hours of on the job training for students who wish to become a nurse assistant.
Topics that will be covered include:
Health Care Facilities
Body Structures and Systems
Medical Terminology
Special Physical and Psychological needs of aging
Good Communication Skills
Funds may be available for persons who are currently employed in a facility on the date which CNA training begins. Students must pass a certification exam consisting of oral, written and skill evaluation.
