Welcome to Tiger Learning Center

Welcome!

My name is Lucas Smith and I am the Principal of Tiger Learning Center. I have worked in the Waynesville School District for 21 years; in that time, I have been an Elementary and High School PE/Weight lifting teacher and an assistant wrestling and football coach. I have recently been an Elementary and High School Assistant principal.

My wife, Shauna, and I have been married for 17 years and we have a 14-year-old son. I am an avid sports fan and enjoy outdoor activities. I am excited to be the Principal of the Tiger Learning Center and look forward to working with students and community members.

Spotlight

Mr. Kramer is a tremendous asset to the Tiger Learning Centers' students and staff. He builds relationships with students that make a lifelong impact. Mr. Kramer makes the learning environment one that students want to attend.

Ms. York-Barber is an amazing math teacher. She is wonderful at building relationships with our students and is always willing to help her fellow teachers. She is a great part of the TLC community.
