WHS WIN After School Program Enrollment Information

WIN (What I Need) is a free after-school program and will be offered Monday-Thursday for all students in grades 9-12.

Bus transportation home is also available for WIN students who sign up for the after-school activity bus on a weekly basis. WIN enrollment forms will only be available in digital format this year. You can access a link to the enrollment form by clicking here: WHS WIN ENROLLMENT FORM LINK. This form must be completed before students are allowed to stay after school for any WIN activity. After school transportation (bus) information:

Students who are planning to stay after school for WIN will need to sign up for WIN activities in advance. In order to ride the activity bus home, students must be signed up no later than 3pm the day before before they will be staying after school. For example, if a student plans to stay after school on Tuesday, August 30 and wants to ride the activity bus home, then the student would need to sign up by 3pm on Monday, August 29.  The signup link will be shared through Canvas and students will need to sign up EACH WEEK and indicate if transportation home on the activity bus is needed. Before a student can sign up through Canvas, however, a parent must complete the Google WIN enrollment form. (See info above.) If a student does not sign up for the activity bus, there is no guarantee that they will have a seat on the bus. They can only ride if seats are available.

Transportation home will be offered Monday-Thursday for students staying after for WIN and bus routes/stops will be limited, similar to snow routes. Buses will be shared between Waynesville High School athletes and WHS WIN program participants and are scheduled to depart WHS at 5:45 each evening. If you are planning to pick up your child from WIN, you MUST be at Waynesville High School no later than 5:45 p.m.

Students planning to stay after school for WIN for any reason need to sign up ahead of time for the activity they are staying for. If a student needs transportation home, they MUST sign up for the activity bus by 3pm the day prior to staying after school. This includes students staying after for any reason including, but not limited to, academic assistance and WIN activities. Athletes will need to notify their coaches if they need to ride the activity bus any time during the fall sports season. Students will NOT be able to stay after school for WIN activities until they have completed the initial Google WIN enrollment form.
