Hello Wood Elementary Families, 

It is my pleasure to welcome all of the new and returning families to Wood Elementary. I am so happy to have you as a part of our school community!  

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Susan Shultz, and I have been in the field of education for 16 years in the Waynesville School District. I have served as an assistant principal for four years and prior to that, an elementary teacher for twelve years. In addition to my role as an educator, I am also a wife and a mother to two children who attend school in the Waynesville District. I enjoy attending all of their games and events, as well as any Waynesville home games. GO TIGERS!

As a staff, it is our purpose to make every child feel welcomed and connected as a part of the Wood Elementary school community. We want every child to build positive relationships and grow in his or her academic abilities. I firmly believe that every child can grow, and that the partnership between home and school builds confidence in students to achieve success.

I am truly honored to serve as the Wood Elementary Principal and I am committed to caring for your children each and every day.
