The District Assessment Team is comprised of four staff members who individually test and assess students referred by our schools due to difficulties with learning. Special testing is available for students with exceptional needs. Assessments are done in the areas of cognitive development, achievement, speech, language, and behavior after which complete diagnostic reports are written.

These diagnostic personnel assist school building teams in assessing children's abilities and capabilities. These specialists assist in discovering causes of learning difficulties and in helping building staff to make eligibility determinations for whether special education is needed and, if so, what services might needed in order for the student to benefit from the educational environment.
