Hello, my name is Robyn Justice.  I am delighted to be the principal of Thayer Elementary School!  

I started in the Waynesville School District in 2001 as a third-grade teacher at East Elementary and, later, at Freedom Elementary. In 2008, I accepted a position at Partridge Elementary where I taught both third and fourth grade.  While at Partridge,  I was privileged to attend the Leadership Academy as well as be a part of Waynesville’s Aspiring Administrator’s Program and felt a calling to become a leader, where I could serve both other educators and students. From there, I began to pursue an administrative position and became the principal of this great little community school at Thayer Elementary.

My husband, Andy and I have been married since September of 1987. He is a self-employed electrician and raises beef cattle on our farm in Roby, Mo.  We have two children (identical twins): Landon and Logan, who are both in the field of Christian ministry. They are married to beautiful ladies, both of whom work as registered nurses. We enjoy our small community and serving others daily. 

Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” The power of that weapon, and the change it creates, does not fail in the face of adversity. Education, and indeed our country, is undergoing one of the greatest challenges faced in the last century. But that doesn’t stop our mission. It doesn’t change our role as educators. I have been a part of this community my whole life and I look forward to continuing our great partnership between the school and the community. As the principal of Thayer Elementary during an unprecedented time, I will work harder than ever to assist my fellow educators and the next generation of leaders, preparing them to change the world.
