Turning Resources and Energy in New Directions

     T.R.E.N.D. is a good character & drug free group for 5th and 6th grade.  TREND stands for Turning Resources and Energy in New Directions! T.R.E.N.D. members serve as roles models and leaders in the school.  T.R.E.N.D. helps to teach the monthly character traits, assists in Win-Win Wednesday Assemblies, participates in community service projects, and holds various after school mixers such as dances and swimming. They also participate in fundraising for T.R.E.N.D. activities and trips such as Skate Zone, Tan-Tar-A Timber Falls Indoor Water Park, and Incredible Pizza. We are the first school in the district to have a T.R.E.N.D. group and we are looking forward to our 5th year.

T.R.E.N.D. Committees:

  
*Red Ribbon/Appreciation:  Coordinates Red Ribbon week activities and honors staff with Ms. Watts

*Assembly:  Coordinates Character Ed words of the month, birthdays, etc.

*Community Service Learning: Coordinates & Implements quarterly community service projects

*Office Aide: Helps in the office.

*Mixer:  Plans quarterly mixers, including decorations and concessions

*Library:  Aides librarian with library duties

*Tutoring:  Tutors students in lower grades

*Morning Announcement:  Creates, plans and announces the morning announcements
