Well, this year is coming to an end quickly.  We have been working very hard preparing for the MAP testing, which will be in April.  I am excited because our class has worked so hard all year and they are doing well.  This is a chance to "shine" for the kids and to help me see the areas that we need to continue to work on.

I can't emphasize enough how important it is for the kids get enough sleep, eat a good breakfast, and have number 2 pencils with erasers sharpened and ready.  I will be giving the kids some afternoon activities to rest and relax during these days, so that they are not overwhelmed with school subjects while concentrating on doing their "best" on the test.

It has been a true joy to teach your 3rd grader this year. I have taught for 27 years now and I can truly say that this will be a year to remember with wonderful memories of a wonderful class of young people.  You are blessed to have them and I have been blessed to help them learn.

Have a wonderful and relaxing summer and God bless you and your precious young person you have shared with me, as the teacher for their 3rd grade year of school.
