TEACHER CONFERENCES AND PROGRESS REPORTS

Parents are encouraged to become familiar with the instructional objectives for their child’s grade level.  Each grade level teacher will conduct a curriculum night at the beginning of the school year to go over the student objectives for the school year.  Mid-Quarter Progress Reports will be distributed near the middle of each quarter and Progress Reports will be distributed at the end of each quarter.   PowerSchool web access is available to parents throughout the school year to see up-to-date information about student progress and attendance, as well as other information.  User IDs and passwords may be picked up in the office.  Parent conferences (Student-Led) will be held following the first quarter.  Anytime you would like to schedule an additional conference with your child’s teacher, please call the school or the teacher at 329-6222.

The Waynesville R-VI School District allows for PowerSchool parent and student web access and automated e-mails to be suspended if the student owes the school for lost/damaged books and equipment, late library fees, uniforms, or other charges.  Secretaries will uncheck the guardian and student web access and e-mail notifications in the student record in PowerSchool.  The secretary will notify the parent that their web access and e-mail notifications will not be available until the money is paid to the school.  When the fine or charge is paid, the secretary will check the boxes allowing guardian and student web access and e-mail notifications in PowerSchool so these features are available again.  Parents do have the right to see their child’s records at any time, but the records do not have to be in the form of web access or e-mail notification.
