SCHOOL CANCELLATION
In the event that the Waynesville School District must cancel school, use emergency snow routes, delayed start, or early dismissal due to weather, the information will be sent out via School Messenger as well as being broadcast over local radio stations (FM: 102.3 or 98.9), cable TV—CH 12, and affiliates of the Springfield Broadcast Council (KY-3, KOLR-10). It is advisable that you discuss with your child the procedures to follow should school be dismissed early because of inclement weather. If this causes any change in student transportation that day, please notify the school office as soon as possible.
Please be aware that Thayer Elementary School is part of the Waynesville R-VI School District and any school cancellations will be broadcast as “Waynesville R-VI Schoolsâ€. There is a Thayer, MO that you may see on TV, this is NOT our school.
