Welcome to Thayer's Physical Education Deptartment

Hi, my name is Coach O'Neil and I am the PE teacher at Thayer Elementary.

We are off to a great start this school year, especially in physical education.  I would like to take this time to remind you that sneakers with wheelies or healies in them are not allowed in school.  They are not good shoes to wear for long periods of time.  Shoes like flip flops, sandals, slippers, dress shoes, crocs and boots do not provide the necessary protection for the feet and ankles in active participation and should not be worn for physical education or recess.

Also, please remind your child to wear their sneakers on days he/she has gym.  The sneakers are required for your child to participate in class and should be designed for athletic use.
