Partridge Happenings

The yearly "26 Tiger Run" took place this past Friday, April 29 in St. Robert. Waynesville R-VI School District 4th and 5th graders each year participate in the "26 Tiger Run which involves students reading 26 books, performing 26 acts of kindness and running 26 miles through out the school year. Over 200 students met and completed their last mile in St. Robert. Food Service Director Deanne House was very pleased with the event and congratulated each student on their successes. Guest runner for the event was former WHS athlete and NFL Indianapolis Colts player Gijon Robinson. He, along with WHS Coaches, Rick Vernon, Brian Vernon and Karl Wilking, Elementary Principal George Lauritson ran along side Robinson and students. Also, sponsors for the event were St. Johns, Mercy Medical who presented each student with t-shirts and Security Bank of Pulaski County provided water to runners.
