Welcome to Mr. Housel's Band Website

GREETINGS:

I am excited to be teaching in the Waynesville R-VI School District where I have lived for twelve years.  I previously taught History, Music and Driver’s Education in Montana for 14 years and taught Music and Driver’s Education in Iberia, MO for 8 years.  I am currently on my 23rd  year of teaching here at Waynesville Middle School. 

I am also a member of the United States Army Reserve where I currently serve as the First Sergeant of the 7227th Medical Support Unit out of Columbia, MO.  I am a Combat Medic and EMT-B and have been in a total of 21 years. 

As a third interest (no rest for the weary) I am the First Counselor in the Bishopric at my church, which is similar to being a Youth Group Leader.  This keeps me very busy in the spiritual lives of many of our youth.

My wife is a nurse at St John’s of Saint Robert and we have five children:  4 girls and 1 boy.  As of next fall all of my children will be in school with the oldest a Sophomore at St. Cloud University, MN.  (yes I feel old)

My educational motto is:  THEY DON’T CARE WHAT YOU KNOW UNTIL THEY KNOW THAT YOU CARE!
