Welcome to Waynesville Middle School.  We are proud of our school.  Our teachers are interested in the development of each child.  A number of opportunities are offered to students to support academic performance.  Waynesville Middle School continues to focus on improving student performance in the classroom and on the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) end of the year assessments.  

As a Professional Learning Communities (PLC) district, teachers are allowed time to collaborate to improve student performance.  Wednesday mornings are scheduled as a late start to accommodate staff development.  Classes begin at 8:00 on Wednesdays instead of the regular time of 7:30.

Waynesville Middle School offers a number of extracurricular activities including sports, clubs, Band, and Choir. Our students must meet the guidelines established for eligibility by the district to participate in these activities.  

Waynesville Middle School focuses on the development of the whole child.  Our building is a Positive Behavior Support (PBS) school.  The program supports positive behavior reinforcement for students.  Waynesville Middle School received the Award of Excellence from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for our PBS program.
