Mrs. Adams' 6Th Grade Class
Welcome!
Congratulations! Your child has officially started the path to sixth grade! On this new path, your child will have more responsibility for their education, their actions, and most of all, how they deal with classmates. You may check the Freedom Elementary home page for information on 6th grade curriculum, school supplies, and the student handbook. Students are working hard to meet the expectations of responsibility in the 6th grade.
I am looking forward to the school year! Your student will be learning many new and exciting things throughout the year. I have high expectations for my students, and encourage hard work and dedication in all that they do. Expect to be challenged and to think outside the box!
1. Parents your jobs will be to check and sign your child's assignment notebook every night. It is an extremely useful communication tool.
2. Parents help encourage reading, set time aside each day to read. After reading, I encourage you to discuss the reading with your child. This strengthens your child's academic future.
3. Parents I will be sending home progress reports about every two weeks. Please sign them and have your child return them the next day for extra credit.
4. Parents students will keep their progress reports throughout the quarter for extra credit.
5. Parents It is my hope that we can collaborate together to ensure that we have a great year.
Students will begin preparing for their future education on day one and will enter their next school year confident. We strive for excellence together.
