Welcome to Freedom Elementary. Home of the Tigers! My name is Mike Morriss and I am the Principal at Freedom. I have been a teacher and administrator in the Waynesville School District for nineteen years. I am very proud to be the building principal of the newest elementary school in our district. The 2011-2012 school year will be the sixth year for students at Freedom. I truly enjoy working with and helping the students, teachers, parents, and patrons of the Waynesville, St. Robert, and Fort Leonard Wood Communities.

Third through sixth grade students that reside off of Fort Leonard Wood in the district attend Freedom. The enrollment is about 1,200 students with 11 to 12 regular classroom teachers at each grade level. Our teachers and staff take care of kids while holding high expectations for student learning and achievement. We have high quality teachers at Freedom, and I am extremely pleased with the work they do each and every day.
