Who is Mrs. Homan?

At school, Mrs. Homan is a Reading Interventionist and a Reading Recovery teacher. She works with small groups of students to help them become successfull readers.   During Reading Recovery time, she works with one student at a time to ensure individualized lessons to help that child become a strong reader.

She has taught in the Waynesville School District for 21 years.  She has taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and reading.  She loves working with students to help them become the best reader that they can. If you can't find her in her room with a group or an individual student reading or writing, she may be outside greeting the buses in the morning or helping load the students in the afternoon.

When her day at school is over, she heads to her house in Richland.  At home, she is the wife to Rich, and the mother to Trent (9th grade) and Trisha (4th grade).  For fun, she enjoys reading to her daughter, watching movies with her family, and playing the piano.
