Classroom Behavior Plan

Each day your child will start out on green.  Throughout the day your child has the opportunity to move up the spectrum if he or she was caught doing something good.  For example, staying short, straight, and silent in line.  If your child moves up once they go to blue.  If they are at blue at the end of the day they will receive one reward ticket.  If they are to move up two places they will be on purple.  If on purple at the end of the day they will receive one reward ticket. The top of the chart is pink. If on pink at the end of the day they will receive two reward tickets and I will proudly wear their clip on my shirt showing everyone in the school they are good role models for great positive behavior.  If your child makes a poor choice they move down to yellow, which is a warning.  Yellow takes away five minutes of recess or one lap around the playground to think of better choices.  If your child moves down again, it is to orange.  Orange takes away ten minutes of recess or three laps around the playground to think about their choices.  If your child moves down again it is red, which takes the entire recess time to think about our actions and how we can make better choices.  Even though your child may have moved down once or twice they still have the opportunity to move back up once they start making better choices.  No child is ever 'stuck' on any color for making a poor choice.  At the end of every day your child should have the color they were on at the end of the day recorded on their calendar for you to see at home how their behavior was at school.  At the end of each week your child will have the opportunity to purchase items in our classroom store with their reward tickets.  The calendars stay in the TIGER Binders until the end of the month when I will collect them.  Please do not take the calendars out yourself, because I like to reward students who are being responsible and coloring in their calendars every day at the end of the month.  Thank you for participating in your child's education and taking the time to review your child's day with them.
