This senior-only course is designed to introduce students to a variety of careers in the health care industry and is for the student who wishes to pursue a career in the health care field.  Health Science prepares students to enter an entry level position as a medical assistant or gives them the foundation of knowledge to pursue an advanced medical field education.  Students cover the following topics:  Anatomy & Physiology of the body and related diseases; observation of health professionals at work; basic entry level skills for nursing and other allied health care fields; career planning; and medical terminology.
