Basic Rider Course (BRC)
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Basic Rider Course is aimed at beginning or re-entry riders. The class consists of 15 hours total, a minimum of 5 hours of classroom instruction prepares the student for at least 10 hours of practical riding in a controlled, off-street environment. The course concludes with a knowledge test and a skill evaluation. The course completion cards will assist you in obtaining a motorcycle endorsement on your license, since the skill portion of the exam will be waived. Completion may also qualify the student for reduced insurance premiums on their motorcycle policy. Motorcycles used in this course are 250cc or less and they will be provided for class.
WCC will schedule at least 2 classes per month from April through October. Class meets on Friday for classroom instruction. It then resumes on Saturday with a combination of on-bike exercises and classroom instruction. Class will then start again on Sunday with more on-bike exercises.
The minimum age for enrollment is 15 1/2 years of age with parents permission.
Payment in full ($210.00) is required to secure your place in class. You will receive a partial refund if cancelled ONE week prior to the start of class. You will receive NO REFUND if cancelled later than a week prior to the start of class.
WE DO NOT HAVE A STANDBY/WAITING LIST FOR FULL CLASSES. IF THE CLASS YOU ARE WANTING IS FULL, YOU WILL BE PLACED IN THE NEXT AVAILABLE CLASS.
