EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN-BASIC (EMT-B)
This state-approved class combines theoretical information with practical skills. This course includes instructions in providing emergency care and transport of the sick and injured. This class provides 140 hours of instruction and 100 hours of clinical rotation with the ambulance service for hands-on-experience. At the completion of the course, students must take a state supervised practice and written exam in order to be licensed as an EMT.
You must possess a high school diploma or GED in order to enroll in this class.
