INTRODUCTION TO PC/KEYBOARDING

Participants will learn the basic computer operations and terms. Terminology associated with the personal computer, care, and handling of compact discs, using the directory and an overview of software applications will be discussed. They will also learn basic keyboarding skills.

MICROSOFT WORD

Students will be taught to use one of the most requested word processors. They will learn how to create, edit and print documents. Column and table merging, indexes, footnotes and headers. Students will learn how to integrate clip art, 3D word art, etc.

MICROSOFT EXCEL

This class will provide students with a toolbox including data types and data entry techniques, basics of formula construction and usage, and an overview of the Excel special function library. The course also provides an overview of Excel's wide ranging data analysis tools, including data tables and filters, graphics and pivot tables. A brief introduction to macros and spreadsheets is also included.

INTRO TO APPLE IPAD

This workshop is for anyone interested in using the Apple iPad 2. Information will be provided on: best use and practices, apps, and other websites and resources that support the device. iPads are available for training, however the number of iPad's are limited to a first come first serve basis. We encourage you to bring your own if you have one.

GOOGLE DOCS

The Google Docs workshop is offered for anyone who is interested in learning more about the Google Docs and what it has to offer. What is Google Docs? Google Documents is a document sharing program which makes sharing and editing documents with other people easy and efficient. Why us Google Docs? You and other users can quickly and easily edit shared documents. You don't have to send a document back and forth through e-mail. Once someone updates and saves a shared document, other collaborators also have the new updated copy! If you use iGoogle you have everything you need in one place, even if you are not on YOUR computer.
