Thank you for your interest in serving as a substitute for the Waynesville R-VI School District!  Beginning May 1, 2012, please stop by the Personnel Services Office located in the Administration Building at 200 Fleetwood Drive in Waynesville to pick up a substitute application packet for the 2012/2013 school year.  Once you return your application packet we will conduct a thorough background check and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) will issue you a Substitute Certificate.  This process will take approximately 3-4 weeks.  Once your certificate is issued you will be required to attend a New Sub Workshop before entering the classroom.

*Classified substitute employees (i.e., paraprofessional, food service, custodial, secretarial, etc.) are not required to obtain a Substitute Certificate nor are you required to attend a workshop.

2011-2012 SUBSTITUTE TEACHER PAY SCHEDULE

60 - 119 semester hours                    $74/day

120 semester hours or more              $89/day

Regular substitute who
substitutes for 20 consecutive
days for one teacher                          $95/day

Certified teacher who
substitutes for 20 consecutive
days for one teacher                          $120/day
